Collings D2HT, Traditional Model, Sitka Spruce, Indian Rosewood, Dark Sunburst - NEW

(NEW) There's something about these dark sunbursts on Collings' Traditional models... why does something so dark always seem to light up our day?  Here is another exemplary guitar from our great friends at Collings, a D2HT with Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood back and sides and the less common narrow nut and saddle spacing.  We spec'd this one for 1 11/16" nut and 2 3/16" string spacing at the saddle, the same as a standard D2H would have.  

If you haven't played a Collings Traditional yet, you're in for a treat!  Through tweaking the construction, Collings has warmed up the voice of the guitar, particularly in the midrange and low end.  The clarity and power are still there, just with a noticeably warmer sound.  They achieve this through a lighter build, forward-shifted scalloped Sitka braces with no tongue brace, small maple bridge plate and a thinner all-lacquer finish.  Other Traditional appointments include their proprietary purfling scheme, rolled fingerboard edges and ivoroid bridge and end pins.  

Believe us when we say that it sounds as good as it looks!  Includes hard case.
